Citation count is not one of the six EB1B regulatory criteria and USCIS does not publish a rule requiring 50, 100, 500 or any other fixed number of citations. Citation evidence can nevertheless be valuable because it may show that independent researchers have noticed, used or built upon the beneficiary’s work.
